ILAS Special Seminar

ILAS Special Seminar at Kansai Seminar House 2019

To KU Undergraduate students and International undergraduate students from partner Universities,

We would like to invite you to an international exchange program which will be held for two days (Feb 12 ~ Feb 13, 2019) at Kansai Seminar House, located near Shugakuin Rikyu.

In this program, students will work on a project in groups. All of the program’s content will be carried out in English. This seminar has the same content as the event held in February 2018. The contents are as follows:

Visit a shrine or temple in the Shugakuin area and produce a Pecha-Kucha style presentation which introduces and explains it (Professors Daniel Milne and David Lees will support this).

Students will work in groups on a project about a tourist site in the culturally rich Shugakuin area. Students will plan the project and visit the shrine/temple and surrounding area, gathering data and photographs for their project, and create a short Pecha-Kucha style presentation which will be presented on the second day. This will provide opportunities to learn about the history and culture of the area, and about creating and giving good presentations as well as deepen international friendships.
