後期が始まってから、オンラインの回にも、対面の回にも、予想以上に多くの方が顔を出してくださいました！

留学生もレギュラーメンバーに加わってくれ、毎回国際色豊かな活動ができています。

早いもので、明日19日が今年度最終回となります。

もちろん新しい参加者の方も大歓迎です！

最終回ということで、まったりお喋りできそうな内容を考えていたんですが、これからもEDCに色んな方に来てもらえるように、「来年からEnglish Discussion Clubでやってみたいこと」をテーマにしました。たくさんのアイデア、お待ちしています😊

Since the beginning of the fall semester, many people have joined our club online or through face-to-face sessions. We now also have some international students as regulars. 

Our last session of the year is held tomorrow, as usual, at lunchtime. 

The discussion topic is "What do you want to do as activities of the English Discussion Club next year?." Please share your ideas with us so we can enjoy an even more lively conversation in the upcoming months. Newcomers are always welcome😊

そろそろ年末が近づいてきましたが、明日もEDC開催します！対面セッションは12時30分からです。

いろいろな専門の参加者が集まっているので、今回は「文系と理系」をテーマにしてみました。

国ごとの「文系・理系あるある」や最近増えてきている文理融合についても、いろいろお話できればと思っています。どの分野の方も、ぜひ奮ってご参加ください！

留学生も毎回参加してくれています😊 Networking Eventよりも小規模ですが、とてもアットホームな雰囲気です～

Tomorrow is the day for EDC Monday! The face-to-face session starts at 12:30.

We have participants from various disciplines, so this time, we'll talk about "liberal arts/science majors." Let's share our opinions and experiences about the typical images of those two majors, your preferences, or newly emerging interdisciplinary fields. Please come and join us!

This is also an excellent opportunity to interact with international students. It's smaller than the International Networking Event, but you'll have more chances to speak as our group is relatively small.

Tomorrow (November 7th), we'll have both online and face-to-face meetings like last week. If you want to come to the face-to-face session, please join us at the Entrance Hall of the ILAS building at around 12:35.

The discussion topic will be "Tourism in Kyoto (Japan)." Living in Kyoto, do you often interact with tourists, especially foreigners? What do you think about Japanese cultural policies? Which places are your favorites and why? 

We'll talk and discuss freely many questions like the ones listed above.

If you participate online, please join the Zoom meeting at around noon.

And if you're coming to the face-to-face session, please come to the Entrance Hall of the ILAS building from 12:30.

This time, we'll talk about English language learning and the advantages, disadvantages, or potential of using digital tools. Please share your experiences and tips to improve your speaking skills!

今日は最初にクラブの紹介と参加者の自己紹介をした後、ブレイクアウトルームに分かれてグループで会話する時間を多めに取る予定です。

Finally, today, we will have the first session of our English Discussion Club of the second semester!

The Zoom meeting is open at lunchtime (12:10~13:00) . Please feel free to join at any time, and you could also leave early.

Today, after a short introduction to the Club and a quick round of self-introductions, we'll have plenty of time to talk in groups.

Our main topic will be "Let's Talk about your Dream(s) for your Future after the Covid-19 Pandemic."
