We had six participants this time, including Kyoto University students from different majors and countries. I introduced myself as a PhD student from Kazakhstan studying Soil Science at the Graduate School of Agriculture. We also had exchange students and Japanese students studying Russian and Area Studies.

During our first meeting, we introduced ourselves, shared why we are interested in the Russian language and culture, and talked about memorable moments when we used Russian in real life. It was especially exciting to meet Japanese students who can speak Russian and are genuinely interested in learning more about the language and culture.

We also created our online group and are looking forward to learning from each other throughout the semester.
