Session 2 Topic: Travel, Cultural Exchange, and Future Aspirations

2026年10月23日 12時24分 [KUSSAINOVA MAIRA]

On October 22, we held our second Conversation in Russian Club session of the new academic semester, welcoming new participants for an engaging afternoon of Russian language practice and cultural exchange.

We shared stories about our weekly activities, academic interests, travel experiences, and future plans. I also introduced my recent visit to Totsukawa Village in Nara Prefecture, highlighting its stunning landscapes, traditional culture, rural tourism initiatives, and challenges related to overtourism.

Our discussions explored volunteering opportunities, rural versus urban lifestyles, future aspirations, and New Year traditions. Participants also had the opportunity to taste traditional Kazakh sweets and dried fruits while learning about Kazakhstan’s tea culture.

It was a wonderful session filled with friendly conversations, new perspectives, and opportunities to practice Russian in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! We look forward to seeing you at our next session!
